Last house on the left
(1972)
Director: Wes Craven
Starring: Sandra Cassel, Lucy Grantham, David Hess, Fred J. Lincoln
our comment. "It must take a lot off skills to be this nasty."
Two girls are kidnapped on the way to a rock concert by a gang of escaped convicts and ironically end up dead across the street from home. When the gang attempts to hole up at the first convenient house, the girls' quiet suburban parents exact bloody revenge.

A highly controversial and grim low-budget shocker.

Story: 6/10 - Loosely based on Bergman's The Virgin spring (hmmm....).

Acting: 5/10 - It must take a lot off skills to be this nasty.

Violence: 9/10 - The drawn-out rape and torture sequences are remarkably unsettling.

Nudity: 6/10 - If this gets you aroused; stay seated, the government is on it's way to your home to put you in a special camp for the dangerous and evil.

Coolness: 5/10 - It's cool to see that Wes Craven can be nastier than most when he really wants too.
