The Last castle
(2002)
Director: Rod Lurie
Starring: Robert Redford, James Gandolfini, Mark Ruffalo, Delroy Lindo
our comment. "The Men in prison movie franchise never really worked."
His service to his country made him a hero. One mistake made him a prisoner. For General Eugene Irwin, it's just a matter of serving out his sentence - until he makes the shocking discovery that his fellow inmates are being murdered. Now, Irwin is taking command one last time - and unifying the inmates in a desperate battle to overcome a brutally corrupt system and show the world the truth.

Highly entertaining, but a bit too cheesy towards the end.

Story: 5/10 - Good guy saves the bad guys and the day, pretty thin but somehow it works.

Acting: 8/10 - Gandolfini is excellent, alltogether a good cast.

Violence: 3/10 - Not the worst prison in the U.S, but still not the Holiday Inn.

Nudity: 0/10 - The Men in prison movie franchise never really worked..

Coolness: 5/10 - Semi-good story, great acting, an above average time killer.
