A famous scientist has mysteriously disappeared in the Caribbean. Ann, the scientist's daughter together with a journalist Peter West, set out to look for him, setting sail on a schooner belonging to Brian an American Ethnologist, and Susan an underwater photographer they head for the Caribbean.
The foursome get off on Mutal island where a professor Menard is conducting strange experiments (ooh that's a new and unexpected twist), and before long the whole island is infested with slow, and dim-witted flesheaters. Our heroes don't know what to do with these creatures, the women just stand and scream and the guys repeatedly fire against the zombies torso even tho everybody (didn't they see Dawn of the dead!) knows only a headshot will do. You can also run like hell, but I suppose having your flesh eaten is an easier way of losing weight than burning a few calories running.
Director Lucio Fulci is a horror genious, and although many of his fans hold The Beyond as his masterpiece, I still enjoy Zombie Flesheaters the most. Nasty, immoral, violent, shocking and alltogether good clean fun.

Story: 2/10 - Zombie walk, zombie kill, zombie eat
Acting: 5/10 - Yes, there is some acting in there. Like: "Oh! My God, what is it?" HELLO, it looks like a zombie, it walks like a zombie, it smells like a zombie... could it BE a zombie!
Violence: 10/10 - To say that this film is very gory is an understatement
Nudity: 8/10 - This movie will never be shown at a feminist conference.
Coolness: 7/10 - Celeberity deathmatch: Zombie VS Shark, extremely cool.
F/X: 9/10 - The splinter in the eye scene is unsetteling and very believeable.
