Los Angeles, the 21st century. World-weary cop, Rick Deckard, tracks down a handful of renegade replicants (synthetically produced human slaves). The replicants have only a few days left to live, so they search madly for some way to extend their prescribed lifetime.
Based on "Do Androids dream of electric sheep" by Philip K. Dick, this moody and dark detective thriller is a true masterpiece (Ridley Scott was never happy with the finished product so he later released a director's cut). Beautifully photographed and with set decorations to make any architect drool over. Add an unforgettable soundtrack by Vangelis and you have 117 minutes of sheer brilliance.
Let's see you make a sequel of this one, huh James.
Investigation finished: 2000-12-08
Story: 10/10 - 3 years later Ridley's brother Tony made Top Gun, sorry Tony no more stories left in the family.
Acting: 9/10 - Rutger Hauer, you just bought yourself some time, son.
Violence: 5/10 - eye gauging is always a cheer, and breaking fingers... yeah!
Nudity: 6/10 - a woman and her snake, charming.
Coolness: 7/10 - It's future noir, kid.
Skid-marks: 2/10 - Cars that fly, actually kind of tacky when you think about it.
