our comment. "Godfather is a movie without flaws."
Don Vito Corleone is the head of one of the most powerful Mafia families in New York, He is known by all as the Godfather. Ageing Don Vito rules his empire with the aid of his four sons; quick-tempered Sonny, weak Fredo, Ivy League-educated Michael and adopted son Tom Hagen. He refuses to join the five ruling crime families in the narcotics trade, touching off a gang war.

Sonny takes over the family when the Godfather is wounded in an ambush, but is unfortunately killed during the war, and the youngest son Michael, who wanted to avoid a life of crime, kills to avenge his father and escapes to Sicily.

Don vito recovers and makes peace with the rival families and agrees to join in the drug trade. He arranges Michael's return to New York and before he dies of a stroke he passes on the family trade to him; leaving him as the new Don.

The Godfather was nominated for ten academy awards, and won three for "Best picture of 1972", "Best Actor" (Brando) and "Best Screenplay". A true classic and an "untouchable" masterpiece.

Story: 10/10 - Based on Mario Puzo's bestselling novel, this is film-making raised to the highest level; a film of epic proportions, masterfully done. The Godfather is a movie without flaws.

Acting: 10/10 - Really no need to comment on this one, it seems that everyone involved was born to participate in it. It's hard to pick out someone special amidst all the talent.

Violence: 7/10 - The violence is very realistic and therefore often brutal.

Nudity: 0/10 - yeah right!

Coolness: 10/10 - Saying that this film is cool is like saying that the Mona Lisa is a great painting or that Catcher in the rye is a great book (or that Claudia Cardinale is a beautiful woman etc. etc.). It's just stating the obvious, so I'll skip that part.
