The Exorcist
(1973)
Director: William Friedkin
Starring: Ellen Burstyn, Jason Miller, Max Von Sydow, Linda Blair
our comment. "...maybe not the scariest film of all time, but still highly involving."
The Exorcist is a truly terrifying story of a young girl named Regan who is possessed by a malevolent spirit. Her mother takes her to doctors and psychiatrists, but nothing seems to help. So when Regans bed starts rotating and her head starts spinning, her mother comes to the conclusion that her daughter might be in need of an exorcist.

A young priest who has a leap of faith is contacted together with an older and wiser priest, and together they must try to drive the evil spirits out of Regan and help her to regain control of her body.

This movie spawned countless imitations and changed the way horror films were made, still very gripping and powerful.

Story: 8/10 - a powerful script and precise direction and editing makes this a thrill-fest extrordinaire, maybe not the scariest film of all time, but still highly involving.

Acting: 9/10 - Who would have thought that little devilish Regan would be a hot item for sleazy b-movie directors after this, way to go Linda.

Violence: 5/10 - Not much blood and guts, just good old-fashioned green vomit, spinning heads and sucking cocks in hell.

Nudity: 0/10 - Luckily Mrs.Blair was too young to strut her stuff in this one.

Coolness: 8/10 - Any movie that has paramedics present at the premier (in case someone faints!?), is cool in my book.
