Tentacles
aka Tentacoli (1977)
Director: Oliver Hellman
Starring: John Huston, Shelley Winters, Bo Hopkins, Henry Fonda
our comment. "A giant mop dressed as an octopus..."
When Ocean Beach, California residents start disappearing from boats and beaches, biologist Will Gleason and reporter Ned Turner start an investigation. And when they discover the culprit, a forty-foot octopus, they blame the underwater tunneling of a ruthless businessman for waking it up! But as the drilling continues to drive the eight-armed monster crazy, Gleason takes to the seas to find a way to stop the killings - or die trying!

Tentacles is an ecological thriller without thrills, you'll have no problem with going into the water again.

Story: 2/10 - A giant mop dressed as an octopus terrorizes the Californian coast. Swim for your life!

Acting: 4/10 - How they got actors like John Huston and Henry Fonda to appear in this piece of crap is a mystery. Blackmail, maybe?

Violence: 0/10 - No, but I'll get violent with the director if I ever meet him.

Nudity: 0/10 - None, and I still haven't gotten over the shock.

Coolness: 0/10 - Trying to cover up the fact that this is just another Jaws rip-off is very uncool.
