Me, myself & Irene
(2000)
Director: Bobby & Peter Farrelly
Starring: Jim Carrey, Renée Zellweger, Chris Cooper, Robert Forster
our comment. "...in the arms of the wrong directors this could have turned out really cheesy."
Rhode Island state trooper Charlie Baileygates is a really nice guy, but when his pretty wife leaves him for another man, he develops a split personality and his outrageous opposite Hank is born. Hank is not a nice guy, he's got a filthy mouth, a bad attitude and an extremely short fuse. When Charlie falls in love with the beautiful Irene, who is on the run from her former boyfriend/mob boss Dickey, things start to get seriously complicated. On the run from the police (who are on the take) and the mob he must wage war - with himself - for the confused Irene's affections.

Me, myself & Irene is a rude, raucous and frank-speaking romp about two men in love with the same woman, nothing unusual about that except they're the same man.

Story: 7/10 - About a state trooper with a split personality who falls in love, in the arms of the wrong directors this could have turned out really cheesy. Thanx guys.

Acting: 8/10 - Jim Carrey goes back to slapstick comedy, and he does it better than ever in this one.

Violence: 2/10 - Just self-inflicted kind, oh! and a cow gets shot in the head several times, but luckily she survives.

Nudity: 2/10 - Some poor cowboy gets a live chicken stuck up his ass, and Carrey's butt gets to be the center of attention in the movies love scene. Scary stuff!

Coolness: 9/10 - These guys make movies that are truly funny and you don't have to own one single brain-cell to enjoy them.
