A group of space travellers are marooned on a strange and desolate planet where all lifeforms seems to have been wiped out. They soon find out that they're not alone, and they must face a pack of terrifying creatures whose only weakness seem to be the light. Trouble pile up for our heroes as an eclipse is on the way, and it's not your average eclipse either it's an everlasting one.
With little power and dwindling numbers, the doomed space travellers must turn to a vicious convict (whose being transferred from one prison to another) with an attitude problem and eyes that can lead them through the darkness.
Movies about carnivorous creatures Vs. unlucky humans are seldom as good as this, a big surprise and let's all hope that no one ever makes a sequel.

Story: 8/10 - A bunch of unlucky space travellers trapped in a spaceship/on a remote planet battling terrifying creatures in order to survive, you've seen it before but seldom this good.
Acting: 7/10 - Never as annoying as you'd expect, and they're almost as interesting as the monsters. Radha Mitchell is very good as the beautiful and strong heroine, following proud in the footsteps of Ripley.
Violence: 6/10 - This one tends to scare you instead of grossing you out, but it still has some gory parts. A woman is torn apart at the waist-line by a bunch of baby creatures.
Nudity: 0/10 - Hugh Hefner would fall asleep...
Coolness: 9/10 - ...but I sure didn't, the coolest sci-fi in years. The effects are awesome and the creatures are nighmarish!
...a litle something from our surveilance?
