The Patriot
(2000)
Director: Roland Emmerich
Starring: Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger, Joely Richardson, Chris Cooper
our comment. "Enough is enough, Roland!"
Benjamin Martin, a hero of the French and Indian conflict, has renounced fighting forever to raise his family in peace. But when the American revolution comes-a-knockin at his South Carolina home and endanger everything he holds dear, Martin takes up arms alongside his idealistic patriot son Gabriel and leads a brave rebel Militia into battle against a relentless and overwhelming British army.

It would freak me out seeing this movie in the theater and everybody started clapping when Gibson runs along in slow motion waving the American flag, well... I guess I could hide my head in the popcorn.

Story: 5/10 - It's "Braveheart" set during the American revolution, over-sentimental and tacky!

Acting: 8/10 - Good performances in a movie that goes on and on and on... sigh!

Violence: 7/10 - Has some extremely cruel war scenes, most memorable is when a cannonball blows a soldiers head off.

Nudity: 0/10 - Zzzzzzzzz...

Coolness: 0/10 - How many chances does one man get, ID4, Godzilla and know this. Enough is enough, Roland!
