our comment. "I'll tattoo 'bad judgement' on Tim Robbins' large forehead..."
Stanford grad Milo Hoffman and his equally talented friend Teddy, intend to form an Internet start-up and take the world by storm. That all changes when Milo is courted by deceptively friendly software magnate Gary Winston (It would be a lot easier if they had just called him Bill Gates), the immensly wealthy head of world dominating company, N.U.R.V. Milo takes the bait, leaving Teddy behind. Arriving in Portland to a NURV-provided house and car, with his girlfriend in tow, Milo finds himself working on Winstons masterplan - software that will link the world's communication devices together. But it's not long before Milo begins to uncover disturbing evidence of Winston's unethical and brutal business tactics. When Winston's web of violence touches Milo's world, he joins forces with fellow NURV programmer Lisa, and sets out to tell the world about Winston's reprehensible practices.

Even though the director likes to tease us with clever and unexpected (yeah, right!) plot twists, it still doesn't manage to be anything more than an under par popcorn muncher. BORING!

Your e-mail:
Story: 2/10 - The director set out to make a hip, clever and paranoid thriller, the only problem is that it's neither.

Acting: 3/10 - Tim Robbins is a great actor, but I think I'll tattoo "bad judgement" on his large forehead for this one.

Violence: 1/10 - The most dangerous weapon in this film are sesame seeds.

Nudity: 0/10 - nope, I'm starting to think that Peter Howitt might actually be trying to tell us something, well phooey on that!

Coolness: 0/10 - your basic non-cool drivel!
