The Mexican
(2001)
Director: Gore Verbinski
Starring: Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, James Gandolfini
our comment. "I can't even think about this film without dozing off."
Before reckless Jerry can make amends with his girlfriend Samantha, he has to take one more wild ride down to Mexico to pick up a priceless antique pistol and settle his debts. To ensure that Jerry doesn't screw up his employer hires a hitman to "baby-sit" Samantha, but things take an unexpected twist when it turns out that the pistol is cursed.

A quirky romantic comedy that will surely bore you out of your skull, I can't even think about this film without dozing off.

Story: 1/10 - According to the director; a romantic comedy with a dash of Peckinpah. I must have dozed off when the Peckinpah part kicked in.

Acting: 4/10 - Gandolfini is great, but Julia and that other guy are definately over-paid!

Violence: 0/10 - The director doesn't really live up to his name.

Nudity: 0/10 - I don't think that nudity would help in this case.

Coolness: 1/10 - File under: Turkey!
